For a Long-Lasting Memories

The concept of the work is related to my thoughts on who is going to pass away first in my family. I relate these dilemmas to the notions of time and memories, I make a reference to objects, places and photographs. In that sense, in this work I deal with the deconstruction of a recorded family atmosphere. It is a video work that represents negatives of those photos that were taken in special situations such as family celebrations and anniversaries. The video represents overlapping of the negatives, modification of the existing portraits into new visual creations and constant friction of a picture. The message I am seeking to convey is that there is no longer a precise and ideal picture of people and their pasts in the present: they have been eliminated by the present.
